Sanctity is not the exclusive privilege of monastics and priests, but rather a possibility for every Christian who has correct faith, repentance, and a mindset to struggle. This collection, by an anonymous monk on the Holy Mountain, includes the biographies of pious clergymen and laypeople who lived in Greece from the Turkish occupation down to today. Their strong faith and love for Christ motivated them to keep the commandments and to undertake great ascetic struggles (fasts, vigils, prostrations).
