The best book on the sacrament of penance I have ever read
I preface this comment with the fact that I am Roman rite. We share with the East a great love and devotion for the sacraments. No writer from the Roman rite has provided such insight as this book. Return made me realize that the sacrament of penance is so much more than the ticking off items from a list. Confession is the very heart of our relationship with Jesus. With the parable of the prodigal son as an outline, I was taken through my own sinfulness with a newfound understanding of just how wicked I am, and how much more often I miss the mark than I ever thought. I recommend this book to every single Catholic. At the time of this writing, this distributor is out of stock. I pray that changes very soon. The world needs this book.
