Discover The Life of Our Fathers: An Introduction to the Bible in the Orthodox Church by Fr. Silviu Bunta, now available at 30% off for a limited time! Plus, SVS Press Book Club members are invited to a special online discussion of the book with the author on Sunday, November 1.
A Conversation with Fr. Silviu Bunta
What does it mean to read and live out the Scriptures within the Orthodox Church? In The Life of Our Fathers, Fr. Silviu Bunta offers a vision of how the Bible is received, interpreted, and lived in the life of the Church.
In recognition of the book’s growing readership, both in the United States and abroad, SVS Press will host a special online discussion for SVS Press Book Club members.
Held via Zoom on the evening of November 1, the event will begin with a conversation between Fr. Silviu Bunta and Fr. Bogdan Bucur, Professor of Patristics at St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary, exploring the nature and aims of the book. The discussion will then open to questions, giving participants an opportunity to engage with Fr. Silviu directly.
SVS Press hopes this will be the first in a series of book discussions for Book Club members, with future events focusing on titles included in their regular Club shipments.
The event is open exclusively to SVS Press Book Club members.
