"St. Nikolai did not believe in the boundaries of language or nationality. His own example of education not only in Orthodox Countries, but also in the West, witnessed to his desire to fulfill the commandment of Christ to His Apostles: 'Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen' (Matthew 28:19-20). He himself having learned other languages and teachings was able to convey the message of Christ's Resurrection to all nations of the world, as well as many other faiths.” -From the Forward
