The Cross of Loneliness

Two men, estranged from mother Russia and struggling to make homes among the heterodox, share openly. Added to the loneliness of being expatriates, the burden of leadership further estranges both Florovsky & Sophrony from surrounding company. Not only does this work give insight into the nature of the Russian Church in the diaspora of the 1950s, it provides a model for realistic encouragement between two men of God.
