The Orthodox Faith series is intended to provide basic, comprehensive information on the faith and life of the Orthodox Church. The series is a brilliant introduction to those new to the Orthodox faith and is also helpful for teaching you.
This volume is divided into two parts. The first outlines the doctrinal teachings of the Orthodox Church by looking at its sources, followed by a commentary on the Nicene Creed and an explanation of the doctrine of the Holy Trinity. Part Two contains an explanation of Scripture as the primary source of Christian doctrine with an overview of the contents of both the Old and New Testaments.
The other three volumes in the series deal with spirituality, worship and church history.
About the Author: Protopresbyter Thomas Hopko (1939–2015) was professor of dogmatic theology and served as dean of St Vladimir's Orthodox Theological Seminary. Alongside his numerous books and articles, Fr Thomas was also renowned as a gifted speaker and homilist.
