This is the first book of a three volume Christian Ethics series written by the acclaimed theologian and professor, George Mantzarides. He has taught the subject of Christian Ethics for 35 years at the Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki, as well as at other universities, and has combined this with a deep concern for contemporary man burdened with his numerous moral problems and dilemmas. These qualities, together with his experience in safeguarding the writings of both the Fathers of the Church and of contemporary grace-filled elders, is a guarantee of the authenticity of this monumental work.
Volume one mainly covers the material needed for an Introduction into Ethics, which has been published in the past in three successive editions, now with essential improvements. Moreover, in this volume additional chapters were included, together with a wealth of new material, which mainly refers to contemporary issues.
