Introduction by Protopresbyter Thomas Hopko
Pocket-sized (5 1/2" X 4 1/4") with laminated covers and spiral, lay-flat binding.
This manual was compiled originally in Greek by the late Archimandrite Cherubim, founder and abbot of the Monastery of the Paraclete, Attica, Greece. It contains abridged selections from the fixed prayers of the Church for the 24-hour period to make it easy for lay people to pray the hours whether at home or at work. Light and Life Publishing Company wrote about this manual: "This pocet-size prayer book is a gem!" An article in the Russian Orthodox Journal referred to it as "Useful and well-edited...user-friendly..." New edition completely reset with corrections.
Those wishing to supplement these abbreviated services with a fuller use of the Psalms and Canticles, may want to consider using our Kathisma Psalter
