Drawing principally on liturgical commentaries from Byzantine theologians such as Maximus the Confessor, Patriarch Germanus, and Nicholas Cabasilas, Metropolitan Job shows the reader how the structure of the Liturgy works as an encapsulation of God’s saving work in the world. This book is a must-read for those who seek to understand the Divine Liturgy better and who hope to grapple with Christian worship as an experience of salvation.
