The present volume contains twenty-four biographies of ascetics in the world. Of these, one is a bishop, one a priestmonk, five are married priests, two are monks who lived in the world and at the end of their lives were granted the monastic habit, and fifteen are laypeople. They are arranged chronologically based on the year of their repose.
